  在嫦娥五号任务中,中科院继续牵头论证提出科学目标与有效载荷配置方案,承担地面应用系统、有效载荷分系统、甚长基线干涉测量(VLBI)测轨分系统和多项工程关键产品的研制任务,后续还将组织开展科学数据应用研究。

  据中科院介绍,嫦娥五号共配置降落相机、全景相机、全景相机转台、月球矿物光谱分析仪、月壤结构探测仪、国旗展示系统等6台有效载荷和1台载荷管理器。嫦娥五号任务有望创造5个“中国首次”当中,“月球轨道交会对接”“样品的存储、分析和研究”两项的核心工作将由中科院相关单位完成。嫦娥五号月球样品返回地球后,中科院有望在着陆区背景特征分析、月壤形成与演化机理、月球样品物理化学特性分析、月球化学演化历史等研究领域取得一系列原创科学成果。
  嫦娥五号月壤结构探测仪由中科院空天信息创新研究院研制,它是一种基于嫦娥五号着陆器平台的次表层穿透探测雷达,主要由电子学箱、天线阵、电缆组件构成,其中电子学箱安装在着陆器舱内,天线安装在着陆器底板上,其任务是月球次表层结构、月壤厚度的探测,并在钻取采样过程中提供信息支持。
